Hi all,

I'm new to the forum and have a couple questions about my 1993 cobra w/ 65K miles. This is my second Fox body stang, but my last one was many years ago and I'm trying to remember some of the quirks. When I accelerate in first or second gear from a stop, there is a 'grinding' sound coming from under the shifter. It happens as I let off the clutch and begin to accelerate. It doesn;t sound like it is coming from the tranny. It kinda sounds like a vibration in a way. If I ride the clutch a little, I can accelerate out of first without hearing the sound. It almost sounds like what happens when you try and take off from a stop in second or even third gear. That's as best as I can describe it. The car drives/performs fine otherwise. Please let me know if you have any ideas. thanks for looking.
