hardened steel cam thrust plate

picked up a new FRPP timing set with the the steel gears. it says i need to run a steel thrust plate with it.

after doing some reading, i read you can also use a bronze thrust plate.

i found one here on ebay.

I run a FMS steel thrust plate. Got it the same time I got my double roller chain. Both pieces from Summit.

I would run a steel one, as it's a much harder metal than bronze (bronze= copper + zinc). The bronze one can't rust though. But being in a semi-sealed system always immersed in oil, I wouldn't worry about that.
