Harmonic balancer question

I am in the middle of an ATI Procharger install and read the directions stating that I can not use my factory harmonic balancer. Thats fine but when I look up my year car for balancer replacements it gets ugly. I would like to purchase the Professional Products SFI unit but they say it may need an additonal spacer. How do I know if I need the spacer?? They claim to be the smallest balancer for the 302 which leads me to believe I will require the spacer. Anyone with other suggestions are welcomed.

Which kit are you using? I have a 92 and installed the pulley on my stock balancer w/ no problem. I have a p-1sc kit.

Its the same kit you have a p1sc kit. In the instructions I got with my kit it states not to use the factory balancer needs replaced with aftermarket steel unit. They dont want to be held responsible for the factory rubber coming apart I assume.
