I've heard on pre-91 Fox bodies, the different fender type prevents fairly wide wheels and tires from being installed. 17" Cobras are a common wheel upgrade on a lot of Fox bodies, yet the correct size that maintains factory tire height (245/45R17) comes with the problem of rubbing.
Using a tire size calculator, I've figured out that 225/50R17 is essentially the same tire height as the factory tire size, so I was wondering if anyone has tried that size in order to eliminate tire rubbing? It doesn't seem like it would be a problem.
