Head Gasket Leak

hi guys! i have a 99 mustang and it has this ticking noise when the rpms go up. the more you step on the gas the louder the sound gets. the sound is coming from over by the header on passenger side. also it goes through antifreeze like crazy, i found out today that it is leaking antifeeeze out the header. also i never have heat but when i do i comes for about a minute then blows cold. and my temperature rarely ever comes up, it's always at cold. thanks guys for any help!

For the ticking sound, you might check your spark plugs. These engines have a history of popping plugs (they loosen and combustion pressure leaks around them until the threads fail and the plug pops out of the head...)

But it might be moot if your engine is putting coolant out the exhaust; probably time to pull the motor and check it out.
