I'm switching for 79 351w heads to 69 351w heads.
The 79's are pedestal mount and I have the motorsport 1.6 rollers.
The 69's are push in stud that I'm switching to screw-in studs. Is there a conversion kit that will allow me to use the roller rockers that I have?
What all will need to be changed?????
hardened pushrods?
guide plates?
please be specific because valvetrain tech is new to me.

The cost of the conversion ( hard exhaust seats, new guides , plus possible valves ,as they are all over 33 years olds) and then machined for studs and plates, and then having to buy new rockers...... valve job, surface...blah...blah...

You should be a LOT of money ahead getting a set of GT40s off the net!! Same big valves.. has hard seats and valve guides, rockers bolt up and the CC's are the same as the 79s so you dont loose compression... SOOoo... check around on the work needed to the 69 heads before you start the change!! cool??
