my dad has a really nice '78 II hatch. completely restored. we got a carbureted HO 308 in it and I was just wondering about exhaust. what do you guys do?

there is barely any room for the stock manifolds. any special headers made for the II's?

I actually prefer the hedman headers because of the ease of installation.
the left side comes in 3 pieces with slip joints and the right side comes in 2 pieces. The only change i made is to take the front right side piece and cut the 90 degree bend that goes under the crossmember and install 2 45 degree bends so it hugs the crossmember.. I find that I can safely fly over speed bumps and not bottom out that front pipe. :D

I guess someone should give him the model number for the Hookers - 6120. About $300 per set, but excellent fit and do clear the T-5 without modifications if you use the Mustang II bell and the T-5 with the longer input shaft.
