Headlights Turn Off After A Short Period Of Time (no Fogs)

This is somethign that started a while back and it started originally with the brights being on for a while and then shutting off while goin down the highway

I have diamond clear headlights in the car and no fog lights, its an 84 svo with a 92 5.0 with upgraded alternator

The problem started getting worse and now its to the point where I can only drive about 10 mins or less with the regular head lights on (not brights) what do you think my issue could be? I understand there is a rewiring writeup for foglight relays blah blah blah but i do not have fog lights and the problem is when the dim lights are on

forgot to add that if you leave the lights on they will come back on after a while but then cut out again a short while later, to many times have i had to pull over turn ehadlights off wait 10 mins and then drive again till they go off and repeat lol

change the switch...what bulbs are in car..HID bulbs will over heat the plugs ends and short out

off the top of my head your multifunction switch is on the fritz.
