I have a 1995 Mustang Gt 5.0 V8, and i love every minute of it!
But there is one issue that i need help with, as it has been bothering me for a long time.

Although they look great, the two back tires rub on the lip of the wheel well when you drive over a bump or dip in the road. It's really bad when anyone is in the back seat. I believe the rear shocks have not ever been changed.
The front two tires are 275/40ZR18 99W
The back two tires are 295/45R18 108V

They are staggered

I know the back two tires are too wide, thus causing the problem. Is there any way to fix this without changing the wheels and rims?

What would you recommend I do to correct the problem?

The tires you have on the wheels are a little bit taller than what people usually put on an 18" wheel on an SN95 Mustang. Consider switching to 295/35-18 rear and 265/35-18 front tires if you still have rubbing after rolling the fenders.

AGree with the tire size being off a bit. Need to go a little smaller and roll the rear fenders.

If that doesn't work, the rims may stick out a tad bit further than desired. You didn't list wheel specs.

A stiffer spring may help too
