Help Me Identify This EEC PLEASE!!! :)

OK, ive looked everywhere i know to look to identify this mystery eec. all i know is that its for a 5.0 and its Speed density. Im trying to see if it will work for me. The computer code on the eec is "VY3" it is a EEC-IV SFI-SD1. The p/n is E6SF-12A650-Y1D. Im looking for the car it came out of, and auto or manual tranny and 5.0 HO or standard firing order. Like i said, i already know its speed density. I would appreciate anyones help with this. oh yeah, also in big letters up top it says "C6A07" if that means anything.

There are a few different varieties of computers... just a few different calibrations..

Here's the #'s of most of the mafcomputers that are around. A9L and A9P are the most common.

1988 MANUAL 8LD
1988 AUTO 8LF
1989 MANUAL A9L, A9S
1989 AUTO A9P, A9T
1990-92 MANUAL A9L
1990-92 AUTO A9P
1993 MANUAL A3M
1993 AUTO C3W
1993 COBRA X3Z

The harness itself is what is different.. Most of the computers are interchangeable,

although I have never done it.
You can also use an auto computer in a manual... but not a manual comp in an auto..

well, see thats whats puzzleing, i cant find this computer code listed anywhere. i even tried for fuel injection.com. i did however discover that it is from a thunderbird in 1986 im assuming by the E6SF part of the p/n. but i cant figure anything else out. what i want to know is if will work with my setup for a 65 stang. it will have a non computer controlled c4 so i was hoping it would be a manual computer, but if its auto, will it still work for sure. also, i was hoping it was a NON-HO to match my old school 289 firing order. anyone else have any insight here ?

im guessing you are converting it to Fuel injection?? As long as the motor is non-HO and has the correct firing order. I don't see why it wouldn't work. I would be a lil worried about throwing just any EEC in though. Would be nice to know for sure everything worked before it came out so if you have problems once you do your install you KNOW it isn't the problem. As far as the tranny I think you will be OK
