This is on my brother's car - 94 Cobra.

Stock bottom end 5.0
AFR 165s
B303

The car makes no noise upon immediate startup. Once it settles down to idle it has a slight metallic ting - not a knock.

When he starts driving it, especially once the car warms up, it gets louder above 2500rpm. If he hammers it once it gets worse. Motor starts vibrating above 3000.

Car has no loss of power.

Zero metal in the oil. Car has plenty of oil pressure.

Checked all the push rods - all are straight.

I can't see any broken valve springs. Could be an inner I guess but I really looked in there good with a flash light.

Ideas?

It could just be your hpipe making the ting noise that you are talking about. And it's maybe a exhaust leak at the hpipe and check the mounts for the hpipe because that could cause the vibration you are talking about. Good luck.
