Hissing noise....

Hey, I was adjusting my timing after my distributor install and needed to chalk my balancer. When I turned it I heard a hissing noise like air was escaping out of one of the cylinders. Probably not good. Just wondering if this is normal or was it coming from something it was supposed to hiss from.

I also just put longtubes on and X, but double checked my spark plugs if this helps. Thanks

That is normal. It sounds like air escaping because that is exactly what it is. My engine actually makes the noise for about 2 seconds after I turn the engine off. It almost sounds like the engine is sighing after being shut down.

It's just caused by the engine rotating after the fuel and spark have ceased.
