holley performance package

Do a search this has been brought up many many times...

Holley has revised the cam and heads and intake a few times since the begining and alot of the issues have been solved.

With the kit I went 12.60 @ 108mph, bad heads...24# inj, 76mm C&L, 65mm TB

New heads from Holley Warranty Replacement and I swapped to a N-61 cam, 30# inj, 80mm Pro-M, 75mm TB and AFM 4" Power Pipe went 11.80 @ 115.8mph, would have went faster with more gear only trapped 5200rpm instead of 6000 where I was making peak power. Added a 175 shot and went 11.11 @ 130mph, picked up 30mph in the last 1/8mph.

I think more power could be made with a AFR165 or 185 (if you don't have stock pistons) a custom cam, and either a Holley or RPM II.

hey rick thanks for the info but what was wrong with the heads and what else was done to your car when u ran the 12.6?? a 12.5 out of that package sounds great i would be pleased with that. What is the N-61 cam is that from holley?? sorry i dont know much about cams, also with the package do u think i can run 30 lb inj?? thanks alot

The first heads I had from Holley had bad guide, they have since fixed that issue with the new head design although you always need to check the valvetrain geometry.

The N-61 is from www.andersonfordmotorsport.com, I also went to a 75mm TB, 30#inj, 80mm MAF and a AFM pipe..this allowed me to go 11.80 @ 115.8 on motor.

I suggest 30# inj, 70mm TB and a 80mm MAF, Holley offers 2 different cams, 1 is emissions legal, 1 is not (the one people complain about is the non-emissions legal) and if you want to swap cams www.flowtechinduction.com
