Hi.. have always been kinda curious about how much horsepower parts actually put out.. Many companies will say gain 5-10 horespower.. etc. but how true is this.. and do you guys think a 88 mustang gt with speed density that was 235 horespower out of the factory would have the same horsepower 20 years later... I know that depends on how the car was and is driven.

If you could guess how much horsepower would the following make....

Silencer Removal..
Cold Air intake with knn....
Underdrive Crank Pulley and Water Pump Pulley
Overdrive Alternater Pulley
Removal of A/C compressor
BBK equal length headers
No more water pump pulley clutch fan... mark 8 electric fan instead...

and thats it....

Any ideas?

My guess is 245 hp

I hate to play horsepower guessing games, but if this helps:

Absolutely stone stock fuel injected 5.0s typically laid down roughly 175-185rwhp on a chassis dyno if they were a T-5, and slightly less if they were an AOD.

If you're trying to guess your current rwhp figures, I'd start there.

you need to go down to advanced auto and pick up some stickers before you hit a dyno.

He can PM me, I'll send him the set of performance stickers I have on now, I have the upgraded ones I have to put on. :D

Oh and I'll sent you my two K&N stickers. That should be good for atleast another 2.2HP

Silencer Removal..
Cold Air intake with knn.... This combo 2 dynos at 10 hp
Underdrive Crank Pulley and Water Pump Pulley Not worthless but close
Overdrive Alternater Pulley Not worthless but close

Removal of A/C compressor that'll help a few ponies

BBK equal length headers dyno at 7-8 hp

No more water pump pulley clutch fan... mark 8 electric fan instead... that's a good 10 at least

and thats it....

Any ideas?

My guess is 245 hp

All in conjunction I'd say you could add about 20-30 to what you had.
