I have a 94 GT 5.0 stroked to 331 and AFR heads. The motor gets so hot after running for a while that it wont turn over without a jump start from another battery or a jump box. I upgraded the water pump to a high flow version and install another fan but the car is still running excessively hot. I did a radiator gas test and nothing was detected. Does anybody have any ideas on what the problem could be?

Two questions:

1) What kind of radiator are you running?

2) What kind of injectors are you running? Did you get them used?

Ok. One more-
Where is your timing? Is it set correctly?

And there's always the water pump. Mustang uses reverse rotation. If you got a standard rotation, it'll overheat.

Also sticking t stat....
