Fox Hot Weather Kills Motor

Fuel or fuel pump was my first thought but the next day i filled up and it done it again. All roads seem to lead to the TFI.

If i pull the codes, will it tell me if the TFI is bad? Can i take my TFI off and get Advance or Oreilly's to check it?

You would have a code indicating a bad PIP or TFI. same with a failing fuel pump.
I've had pumps that worked great until they got hot and then would just quit. tfi has the same symptoms. Works cold and dies at operating temp. Pull codes.

I forgot to follow up on this thread. I replaced my TFI module and also replaced my cap, rotor, plugs and wires and that combination fixed all of my issues it appears. It no longer dies when the motor gets hot and my idle issues are all but gone. Runs pretty darn good now!

Thanks for everyone's help in diagnosing my bad TFI.
