My V6 had been re-painted back in 2004 due to an unfortunate accident.Well, that and the original clearcoat was peeling all over the place. The paint that was used,I found is single-stage.That is,they mix basecoat and clear urethane instead of basecoat then clearcoat.
My problem is this.My V6 is Ultra White. That's the factory color. This paint constantly fades.I once thought it was light primer overspray but it's the paint fading to a dirty darker/yellow white.I buff it out with compound and apply wax.A couple weeks later it looks like sh** again.
Is there something I can use to slow this down so I'm not buffing it constantly? This removes a lot of paint and cant keep repeating before I get to primer.
