I had to pull the entire shaft,because the cylinder would not turn (possibly the tumbler wnet bad in the cylinder), pulled the bolt on the shaft under the hood. Then pulled the steering wheel, disconnected all attached plugs & the bolts holding the shaft at the dash. The shaft was then pulled up & out. I had to break the old cylinder & drill into the key slot, this allowed me to turn the key & push in the pin for removal. No damage was done to the shaft, installed the new cylinder & put everything back together. Started up the car with no problem.
