Can anyone explain how they are getting these tiny engines to act at least somewhat like much larger displacement engines? I dont think the GTI is turbo'd but either way..how do they do it? That was half the reason for larger displacement engines like the 5.0 right?

Now I know the new BMW 335 is turbo'd but how do they get 300 pd feet of TQ under 2k all the way to 5k. anyone?

The Volvo S60R makes 300+ ft-lbs out of a 2.5L 5-banger. This dyno of a stocker shows 310 ft-lbs to the wheels at 3000RPM!!

Yes, small turbos with lowish boost. Thank god for them bringing us so many customers for repair :D

P.S. about 13-14 years ago before all the cool front drive technology came out we were running 11.02 quarters with our very streetable old school 2.0 liter on a crap suspension.
