How Important Is The Rubber Seal In The Pigtail Connectors?

Long story short: Replacing all the pigtails on my harness that had broken factory tabs. While the IAT pigtail was on order I gave away the one I took off and forgot to pull the rubber seal that goes up in them off the factory one to put in the new one. After just buying a new pigtail for the ECT/IAC valve and knowing they don't come with the rubber seals up in them I forget to pull it. Ugh....

I haven't test fit the new one to see if it fits pretty tight but I was wondering if someone things I should just go without it or if I could make one out of something. Maybe someone has a junk harness they could send me one for a few bucks?:D

Thanks!

Inside the car is not as important as outside. The seal is there to keep dust, dirt and moisture out. The connection should be fine without it, but if it get's wet or dirty you could have problems in the future with rust and corrosion.

I like them. I'd try to seal the outside of the shells where they overlap (even if just with electrical tape).

If I had any spares, I'd send you one.
