Humming In The Front Left Of Car

I just bought a 2005 mustang v6 from an older gentleman and it turns out to have some problems like the wheel bearing on the front left of the car. So I get the wheel bearing replaced and it is better but the humming is still there. I see that there is a hole in the steering rack and a line pinched off in front of the rack itself. So do you think that the humming is coming from the bad steering rack or is there anything else that could be the problem. Please help asap don't want to take it to the shop I work on my own cars but I am stumped
