I got my 1994 mustang put back together after being down for 6 years. The engine was zero decked, the heads were resurfaced. After driving the car I keep getting oil on top of the timing cover just in front of the intake. Now ive tried to see if its coming from the intake with no luck. And no i didnt use the cork gaskets i used the right stuff.

My question is. After zero decking and head resurfacing the head, could my intake not be aligning correctly. Or can my timing cover be leaking on top.

Are you using a MLS head gasket?

If so they do not come all the way up to the intake (youll notice they do not have the tabs that the intake gasket interlocks with) and it leaves a very small gap between the head and block surface, oil will lea from the lifter valley. A little Permatex needs to be squeezed in that area...

:nice:
