Im in the market for a good 5 speed tranny, right now I have a Z code t5 that i bought new a few years ago, and im so wishin i had bought a tk0. My engine is done i wont be making any more power than 530 at the tires same goes for torque. I came accross a good deal on a used tk0 500 with a 10 spline input shaft, which is nice because i wouldnt half to replace my new Powergrip clutch. Would a tk0 500 be ok for me, or would a 600 be a much wiser choice?? Also is the input shaft a weak point? I dont race much maybe 4 or 5 times a year, and i never power shift. Id really like to get the 500 with 10 spline but dont wanna waste my money on a transmission for the 2nd time!!

if your never gonna pwershift the car and dont plan on taking it to the track alot then it should be an issue, if it was me i'd want the 26, but if you are getting a good deal on it i'd say go for it, how much is the trans? i see tko600's for sale all the time for pretty cheap
