Rear is 8.8 spooled with 4.56:1,
Wheels are 10x15. Tires...Talked to both Hoosier and MT tech this past week. To stay with DOT, going with the Hoosier Quick Time Pro Bias tires 27x10x15.
MT does not recommend any 26" DOT's for any 10" wide rims.
Based on past experience I really need the dia, if I ever get this car to hook this thing is going to crank 8200rpm. I have already hit about 7600 on my 11.20 pass at 129mph on my wore out set out set of MT ET Streets.

Ps
(Note page 6 post 101 was last trip to the track, and I do have videos in the car of a bracket off the sun roof, I can't quite make out 4th gear top rpm but it is north of 7500rpm.)

Dilemma...fronts are all black with machined spokes. Backs are polished with blacked centers machined. They don't make a matching front either it's this or all polished.
Any thoughts? I guess I could have the return these, for the fully polished and have the centers anodized myself but don't know if that will mess up the polishing on the rest or I could powder coat? Opinions appreciated?

Or am I over thinking this? These are after all race use only.

Check out a rim repair shop in your area and get the front painted and machined to match the back...could always have the barrel of the back wheel painted black. Then you'd have the only set....that's notable at the track where everyone is the just about the same...wheel wise.

That's a great idea! I think I will call a rim shop and just have them machine/polish the lip and call it done. I will leave the inside anodized though.

Thanks for all the responses guys! Really appreciate it.

I would not spend a dime to make them match. As Dave said, good enough for the girls I date.
They are for the track, where, you are just as likely to see as many mismatched sets as you are matched sets.
I ran Convo Pros up front and Turbines out back for years... now that looked bad... but, they were track wheels.

Well I said screw it on the rims and left well enough alone. Ended up going tubless with permatax high tack for the beads. Car ran pretty good was hoping for something faster but was not expecting a 1000rpm drop leaving at 5K. This is due to the faster first gear and taller sticker tires.
Video was very revealing, also I did not turn the limiter up a little from my street set up, think it was only set to 7600rpm Hope to make it back again on the 8th. Then if all goes well Joilet, IL NMRA True Street July 29.

Video runs are 2:40 and 7:20. The 2:40 run I have a slip for it was the only car I ran against of the 4 slips I posted. The last one they had a computer glitch so no time but I know it was my fastest time.
camera mount lol

So to catch up a bit...july 8 set a new record with the car 11.18 testing for Chicago NMRA/NMCA.
I made 5 other passes but could not muster a better pass. Conclusion was they did track prep just before I ran so the car hooked.

So This brings us to last weekend at Route 66 in Chicago for the NMCA/NMRA event. This was how I stacked up in NMRA True Street. Never had got around for a practice pass in the morning on Saturday. Car ran good none the less. To be 10th out of 37 and probably the top NA car never mind it's just a 331. While at tech Saturday seen this Faimont in Open Comp lose it after the 1/4, he was not 100' from me when he bounced off both walls.

Wanted to bring this thread up to date with my latest runs this fall on September 30th at a different track that I have never been to before. This will be my new home test track. I found my new personal best at 11.11, took me 7 passes to find it.
What I am finding is as I rev the engine with a timing light is I see the timing retard. I'm losing as much as 10 degrees, I did manually advance at the track a few degrees with the distributor on the last 4 passes. Some of my improvements are also just settling in to driving the car consistently. This year is the first time I ran the car at the track since 2011.
