I thought I'd post this one just in case it helps someone diagnose a problem.
The other week my car started running kind of crappy.
It had a part throttle hesitation, a rising and falling idle, and it would some times just die when coming to a stop.
Long story short.
It seems that the nipple on my Kirbin adjustable fuel pressure regulator (the one where the vacuume line attaches) had come loose. It is just threded into the regulator body, and it had worked loose. It wasn't even THAT loose but when I tightened it up, All problems solved.
I only looked at it because I have an Auto Meter Air/Fuel ratio guage (the kind everyone say's are useless) and I noticed that it kept bouncing up on the "rich" end at Idle.
And, when I checked my fuel pressure (my guage is under the hood) it had climbed way up.
Anyway, just an FYI.
