knocking noise

i just changed my oil and filter on my 4.6. it has 75,000 and i think i need to change my oil to 10/30. what's your opinion?

what weight are you running now? does it leak or burn oil? if so, how much oil does it lose in 3k miles? 5w-30 should be fine but 10w-30 won't hurt anything.

is it a defined knock or a tap?? That makes a BIG difference..........

Go with a sythetic like Mobil 1

it seems to be a like a tap, it's noticeable but it's not like a dead thud. more like a tap. it doesn't spit oil out the exhaust it just has that tap.

is it coming from the driver side valve cover area? if you aren't losing any oil i would stick with 5w-30. does it do it all the time? or just when it's cold or hot?
