Sorry to repost, but I put it in the wrong subforum. In my 99 GT I have the Mach 460 system, which I want to ditch and totally replace with my own stuff. If I remove the back speaker and amp panel to fit a sub box in my trunk to have decent trunk room, can I still mount speakers to the rear deck? Maybe a bracket of some sort? Any feedback is appreciated.

Yes you can remove and re-mount the equipment. I would recommend using ABS plastic to make the adapters. It will give you 4+ inches of height. However, in my system I kept the Mach box and installed Infinity Kappa 5x7 Components. The sound is great and you dont have to worry about sympathetic resonance from your subs affecting your rears. I used one nice MTX 10" and am happy. I had room for at least 2 10"s, but wanted to keep weight down.
