Who here has installed a manual rack from flamming on there mustang. Im just wondering cuz im thinking of doing it. What would be the pros and cons of doing this.
I got one and its really only dificult to drive from a stop. My car isnt dialed in suspension wise tho so I can't tell you yet how its gonna feel at high speeds but from what I saw I didnt miss my power steering at all. If I had to choose one a parasitic drag to remove I would choose to remove PS over the AC.
Anyone here have a manual rack that's running skinnies? I bet that wouldn't be tough to drive at all. I've driven manual steering cars before, but they all had normal sized street tires on them.
I also have manual rack with 3.5" skinnies. To me it's not that difficult, just when turning from a full stop. I like it and I don't miss the power steering.

I was asking cuz after I installed the kmember, the steering seems harder to turn with the power rack installed. Maybe I didnt get all the air out of the system when I filled the rack back up. Did anyone have this problem after a kmember install. If I cant get it easier to turn might as well lose some weight and install a manual rack.
A k-member swap shouldn't affect your steering effort. If it did I would think it would be easier being that there is less weight. Mine with a manual rack feel very light with all the weight I've lost.
