Hi I'm new hear so i'd like to say Hello first and i was hopeing to get some HELP

I just converted my S/D 86 mustang GT to Mass air, with a 75mm Pro-M meter,30lb injectors, and i think it's a AL9 computer, the car just has bolt ons right now, but I'm converting it so I can put on all my mod's, I have ported GT-40X heads 1.6fms R.R.,ported GT-40 Intake, 70mm T/B, b-303 cam, But I need to get my Mass air to work right before put them on.

My old computer had a old Hypertech Chip in it, I tryed to contact Hypertech to see if i can use the chip with mass air, but had no luck. so I tryed to use it but the car did not start with it,
then I took the chip out and it started but would not idle. It starves for air. and it die's out unless I open the throttle a little,

did anyone ever have this problem before or might know whats wrong? I have not had alot of time to find whats wrong yet,

Hope someone can help me. Thanks, Tommy

more info

yes the meters for 30#

map sensors NOT capped off! Is that it??? I was told not to.

its a 75mm. Pro-M meter, stock T/B and Intake,
Will the size of the meter make a diffrence?
I have a 70mm T/B and a ported GT-40 Intake(not on the car) maybe I'll try it with them on.

I have no vac leaks.

Is the MAF calibrated to match the 30lb injectors?

No idle may be a dirty or faulty IAB. I would clean it and the electrical contacts first. Do a search on setting the base idle speed and see wht you come up with.

If the IAB & wiring is good, dump the codes and see what the computer says is wrong…

Here's the link to dump the computer codes with only a jumper wire or paper clip and the check engine light, or test light or voltmeter. I’ve used it for years, and it works great.
