Msd 6al2 Box Installation

I just bought a 6al2 ignition box for my carb 302 mustang.Im having installation isues i have the intructions but dont quite get them i have follow the diagram but its not working.Heres what i got done heavy red is connected to positive on the starter solenoid heavy black to negative on starter solenoid orange to + on coil black to - on coil.Now the magnetic pickup is green is splice to vilot and vilot is splice to orange.The problem is were do i get 12 volt ignition switch plz be specific as i am a noob to wireing just a bit tire of paying and not learning.

I havent double checked your other wiring, but I believe your asking for a place to connect to a switched 12v source. There may be a much better way, but in the past I have run my switched power out of the fuse box using a jumper or a "add a fuse" jumper. Below is Summit's version.

For your 12 volt soure: Fuse 11 (radio) should be switched on/off with the ignition.

Msd makes a plug and play harness for foxbodys summit and jegs both carry it cost around 25$

i belive it is a green wire on the rad overflow tank cap that i used for switching a relay.

MSD wiring:

Instead of using the battery negative terminal, attach the heavy gauge black wire to the body ground point by the windshield washer filler.

The battery common ground is a 10 gauge pigtail with the computer ground attached to it.

The ground on the starter solenoid is where the solenoid mounts to the inner fender. I was wondering where he placed his ground from his first post.

This is a troubleshooting problem and not an ECM tuning problem.
