Progress Thread My 79 Coupe Is Alive.

Took some parts up today and we decided the tail lights needed to go in right away.

more work done ans its starting to look like a car. Doors, fenders and front bumper cover went on yesterday. She's got her four eyes again finally. Today most of the glass (front and rear are Optic Armor polycarbonete) went in and a lot of the trim also.

Yes, I picked up the Xenon set cheap, they were not in great shape and I was not thrilled with the styling on them once I tried them on the car. Just too much bulk and too many weird angles and lines. The Cervenis Saleen pieces are much cleaner and more suited to the car. They cost more, but required less work being new, so probably cheaper in the long run. I resold the Xenon set for what I paid, so no loss.

No offense meant, but I am surprised you were able to unload the Xenon kit. As you said, they are not very pretty, lol.

It was delivered back home last Thursday, the airdam and rear skirt were left off for easier tiedown and loading into the trailer. I got those installed yesterday and managed to get it outside for some photos this morning before the snow starts (and were supposed to get lots).

Well let me be the first to say that that looks really good. Your fab skills, and individual choices shine through as well planned and nicely implemented ( really like the hood latches)

Congratulations. Something to be very proud of.

Having seen your work, your approval is valued, thanks. I still have the interior to finish up over the next couple months, so more fabrication work is ahead, mostly more aluminum sheet work.

I wish I could say I had a vision from the beginning, but it has been as much an evolution as a predetermined plan.
