My Progress Pics

What did you use to plug all the holes? Did you weld or use body filler? Thanks,, looks good!

I cut some sheet metal up and placed it over the holes then welded them up. I ground the welds down and applied bondo and sanded it all down.

It turned out good enough for what i wanted. I really dont think i would ever do it again on a different car, i just hate doing that kind of work....

Open headers sound like crap. Other than that sounds good. What cam you running?Need an electric fan to.

The fan is one the way from summitracing right now. It was suppose to come Saturday shipping but didn't, so we stick the flex fan on it for now.

We put like a 2 ft extension pipe off the headers for a quick fix so i could crank it up. Here in the next few weeks the entire exhaust will be done.

Here a picture of the cam card.

Specs on the cam look pretty good. As far as the exhaust i have done that my self. What kind you going to put on it? How much hp you plan on puting down?

My dad owns a fabrication shop so i get any stainless piping i need. I will probably run 3" Stainless with dumped flowmasters.

Not real sure how much power i will have, i have always wanting to ask some people on here, but its seems like no one really like the "how much HP" threads to much. lol

Well thanks for the comments.

Started Mini-Tub Install

We started the mini-tub install on my friends "putnam88" car today. The kit came from Wolfe Race Craft. We got ours disassembled which we had to put the Pittsburgh seam together which was kind of a pain but saves 50 bucks in the shipping option. We got the passenger side fender all marked out where we need to cut it. I cut everything 1" short all the way around to make sure we sure that where we wanted it. Id rather cut less the first time then to much! We are doing his car first, and then my car. I'm still waiting for mine to arrive. We plan on running MT 28x10.5w. Well here are some pictures of the progress we are making.

that looks good:nice:

I have been considering this on my 4cyl lx roller when i do the big block keep the pics going i think you could run wider slicks than the 28x10.50

I could run a bigger tire but the 28x10.5W measures almost 14" sidewall to sidewall. The tub measures about 16" from the outside lip of the fender to the inner wall of the tub.

More pics to come when we do some more work, with the holidays not getting much done...

Nice start on the tubs, but do you have plans to upgrade the suspension?
I would've invested in some upper and lower control arms, springs and shocks before cutting my wheel wells out.

Yes his car is under major construction right now, wont be done for a while. As for suspension we both and going coilovers in the back, since the spring perches and shock mounts get cut off during the install. Im not sure if he is gonna run a ladder bar setup or just some LCA & UCA. I will be running a ladder bar from SkinnyKidRacecars.

I am still trying to figure out if i want to run ladder bars or LCA & UCA. Which ever way i go completely redone suspension rear end. AJ is right i am going to be running adjustable coil over shocks in the back. i am also going with a ford 9" 35-spline for the rear
