Fox Need Help With My Foxbody 5 Lug

  1. Ok, so i bought a 1993 notchback and it already came with a 5 lug conversion, the problem is that i have no idea what car the 5 lug came from. The front of the car has disk brakes but in the rear it has drum brakes i was wondering if i could run cobra r wheels, saleens, or sve drifts on it with this setup. Or would i have to change the rear drum brakes into disk brakes or change the whole rear completely to an sn95 5lug with disk brakes? Currently my car is running on chp wheels. But i really want to put some nice wheels on like the ones i mentiond earlier.

This is pic of the rear drums

    This is the rear wheel

This is the front wheel with no dust cap on it

  2. Those wheels don't look half bad! You might have some problems with the fronts if the cap was on but since it isn't..... Slap some Saleens on there, I got a feeling it will look good!
  3. Just an FYI, on those rear wheels the lug studs don't look like their long enough. They should at least come to the end of the nuts, if not stick out some.
  4. Alright i will give that a try! thanks!
  5. I think that has to do with the fact that it has 2 inch spacers on the rear i plan on removing them though.
  6. And will the Saleens fit on the rear without a problem even if i don't have disk brakes?
  7. It also appear the rear hub isn't even supporting the center of the rim.

Get those spacers off....that looks like a bad time waiting to happen

  8. To answer your question. They look like stock brakes, modified with Ford parts to gain the 5th lug.

Front rotors were swapped to mark 7 front rotors.

Rear drums were changed to 5-lug ranger drums with ranger axles.

In terms of pads and shoes...just stock mustang stuff for your year.

  9. Alright thanks so much for the help and info, when you say stock mustang stuff what kind of wheels would i be able to use with my setup i don't want to end up buying something that wont fit, sorry for the questions.
  10. The offsets are pretty much the same as delivered from Ford back in 1993. The conversion parts simply add the 5th lug.

When choosing wheels, you'd select offsets and backspacing for a stock 1993 Mustang, but 5-lug of course.

This is a common 5-lug conversion
