would my stock ones work, im gonna change so many things in my engine later anyways (bigger engine needing other headers) so these would only be temporary for now i just need them to work without any leaks.
The main thing you want to ensure is .......
the correct length of the bolt
Too short and you might strip some threads in the heads
Too long and you will bottom out the bolt thus not clamp properly
Stick a small phillips screwdriver in the hole to measure the depth of the
hole. Also consider the thickness of the header flange, header gasket,
and if you use a lock washer.
The objective is to get a bolt that takes up as many of the head threads
as possible while not bottoming out
Man I am really happy this week with the ARP header bolts. I have done many a set of headers and these bolts are by far the best I have used yet. I dropped some lockwashers from the hardware store behind them.
That's what I'm thinking, it will be a really tight fit with the larger heads on the bolts with the larger diameter tubes, might be too tight to get a wrench on the bolt.
