New Guy From Tennessee

Hello! I bought my first Mustang this summer. It's an 88 2.3L 5 speed. I picked it up off Craigslist in Houston, TX. It ran pretty good when I got it, but didn't have a chance at passing the emissions test (scored 720 ppm hydrocarbons, allowed is 220 ppm). TPS voltage was way off, base timing was at 20*, thermostat was in bent in the housing.

So far I have replaced the hydraulic pump ($10 at Pull-a-Part), got it to pass emissions, replaced a busted taillight, gutted the intake muffler, and put a set of ponies on it. And wheel bearings and brakes.

Its been a fun project so far!

hey welcome redvert88! i am near you in nashville. i am actually about 90 miles west of you in decaturville tn. i am just on the west side of the tn river. i moved here pretty recently, and was able to bring most of the fox stuff i had down in fl. if you need anything for that vert, let me know, i have some fox vert stuff here. maybe we can meet up one of these days and hang out.
