New Member Help: 1966 Fastback 2+2

Hey guys, I'm brand new here. My grandfather was really into Mustangs and had a 1967 before he passed away. My cousin ended up with it and I have been looking to get one every since. A friend of a friend has a 1966 fastback 2+2 he is looking to sell. Wondering if I shared some pics, if anyone could give me a ballpark on what it's worth. Just trying to figure out what a fair offer would be. Any help would be much appreciated!!

Hard to tell but from those pics it looks to be in very good condition but there are some areas to check for rust or possible bondo work to cover rust. Cowl vents, floorboards, bottom front of doors, bottom rear of front fenders.
Does this car run good at the moment? Does it need anything? Clear title?

What is his asking price? What part of the country is this in?

From what I can see though I'd expect to pay at least 15,000 if those areas I mentioned are solid or not too bad.
Cleaned up and spit shined it could easily bring much more so if you can get it for under 15 then I'd go for it.

It's originally a 6 Cylinder car, which brings the price down a bit. It still has 4 lug wheels and thus, presumably, 6 cylinder suspension with the V-8 conversion. These things are dangerous to drive with a 6 cyl suspension and the power of a V-8. That brings the price down a bit more, because it really, seriously, needs upgraded brakes etc. to handle the V-8 So, as above, it's probably worth up to 15k, but I'd offer a bit less because the upgrades I'm talking about can cost anywhere between 1000, and 3000, depending on how much you can do, vs. paying someone who knows how to do it.
