hey guys new to the forum. I'm from Northern Colorado. I have a 65 mustang coupe. I am about to swap my 289 with a 625 hp 4v iron headed 408 inch stroked Cleveland. I have the Ron Morris motor mounts and ford power train headers. Any advice is much appreciated.

My dad has a Cleveland in his 65 and you will have to shave the shock towers for it to fit. His are shaved and its still almost impossible to get to spark plugs. Header choices will be limited, esp if its a stick, but I assume its a C6. That Cleveland will be really heavy so you will have to beef up suspension for sure.

Good info to share. Stacy David (or whatever his name is) on Gears had a newer Cougar they got rid of the towers for a 460 based motor. Has anyone had experience with replacing the whole front suspension for motor clearance?
