Nitrous Fuel Pressure Problems

Why is it that I can't operate the nitrous unless the fuel guage is at least 3/4 full? Does it starve the pump if it isn't full enough? I assume that when the guage reads 3/4 the tank is actually about 1/2 full. This makes me very angry. And also, would adding a bottle of NOS Racing formula octane boost to 6 gallons make 89 octane safe to run a 125 shot on?

They say not to spray if you're under 1/2.. I'm not sure where you heard 3/4. It's so in case you are running real low on gas, and hit a curve, or the brakes, that the gas won't pile up on one side and starve the pump.

And about your second question, I think it depends on your tune. You should know what you can spray with what gas based on the tune.
