I've had a leak for a while now but never needed more than a couple ounces every 2-3 months, until recently. I'm going to swap out to a new rack and some new lines soon but I needed to get through a few weeks and thought I'd give a stop leak type product a try.

So I buy "No Leak Power Steering Treatment" by Stabil, which is supposed to stop leaks and recondition o-rings and seals. Ok, cool, so I follow the instructions (add the bottle - draining to make room if necessary - and run up to 200 miles to see results). Well, today, I noticed a bigger leak. I get on the ground to look underneath and see drips coming from the rack, same as always, except now they are little drips of fluid the consistency of water!! I pulled my PS pump cap to inspect the fluid and all the ATF has turned this same consistency! Has anyone ever seen this before? I should have known it was a bad idea (I'm not a big fan of band-aids like this)... but I figured worst case scenario was the leak persisted. wtf?!?
