Odd Timing Question

It will affect the accelleration but should not make any difference in how fast the car heats up. What part of the country do you live it. If it is a cold climate, it has been colder than usual this year and this maybe why. Or you could just need a new t-stat. I assume your coolant level has been checked and is fine. :nice:

Timing wouldn't make any difference in the way the car heats up. In fact, I can run MORE timing in the winter time due to the heavier, denser winter air. I can only run 11* in the summer and can run as high as 19* in the winter, but I usually keep it around 15*.

well, I guess I'll set mine back to where it was, around 12, and just leave it at that...

-btw, I run 14 in the summer... no problem... you must be using low octane gas...
Nope, I always run 93. We have very humid summers, and that screws with everything.
