I finished tearing the 351W down this evening. The crank's screwed, the PO didn't believe in fixing obvious noises, # 8's rod spun the bearing, and he/she just ran it till it quit. the crank is offset ground on that journal now, destroked ( or is it stroked) about .090 The block is fine, std bore short deck casting D1AE-DA. Heads were just about to lose an exhaust valve ( this is what happens with too much unleaded gas) the valve had 4-5 cracks in the head, just a matter of time and it would have disintegrated if the rod knocking hadn't stopped it. Head castings are D0OE-C they're untouched, never rebuilt, but they will need new valves. Depending on cam choice also need screw in studs to replace the positive stop studs there now. Left exhaust manifold is the 289 hi-po style 351W casting. Right was changed to a newer 75 casting. All the accessories are there, P/S pump, A/C compressor and ALt .
