This is in regards to a '66...
I received a one wire Powermaster alternator today. Instructions say I can remove the regulator altogether. The only wire I need to attach is the lead to the existing relay switch.
Problem is it leaves a yellow wire to the gauge wiring harness without anything to attach to. I believe this is for the Amp meter gauge. I'm not sure what to do with it.
Since the alternator is self regulating, I'm assuming I can attach it directly to the relay switch - the same location where I attach the lead to.
If someone out there can confirm this, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks,
-Chuck
