Progress Thread Pete is checking out these valve covers

You guys are so right. Glad I read it on here one time that when you start it get out of the car, and check it good. One of the injectors was pouring fuel out the top. I caught it quick with my flashlight. Enough for half a coffee cup in seconds. I had to change on of the rubbers on the top. Had to take off the intake again. Now my car runs like it never has before. I took off, and almost scared myself I kid you not. I chirped second gear for the first time. It never did that before. I am very happy now...Just have a new problem now. My linkage got messed up from coming off, and on. It doesn't seem to want to come all the way back. Idles at 1200. I always had a feeling that I wasn't getting enough gas since I owned the car. It never power up through four thousand rpms. It also smelt like unburned fuel out the back...Could never get this good without the help of the forum...Now I just can't crash..It's that good Thanks for the advice everyone

Yah it's backward, easy fix. I have it on top of a pro 5.0 shifter and it is the best shifter setup I've ever used. Goes good with the porno red too.

Did you have to drill out the holes in the handle to fit on the pro 5.0

I had to drill out the handle a little...It is way forward, almost hitting the radio. I am going to turn it around, but I don't see how it's going to be any better just looking at it. It must be better or somebody would say something' Just took my car for it's second ride and I still can't believe the way it runs. Everything about it is better. Now I need to fix the AC for a hot summer. I have $700, and not working.

Just put the finishing touch on my air conditioning re do. The only thing I had to flush was the part by the heater core. The rest is new now. Going to Culvers for a burger, and getting the oil for 134. Eight ounces , then the Freeze 12 goes in. Coming back later to start it up and get some cold air I hope. NO PICTURES SORRY

Freeze 12 = just o.k., Industrial ES 12 a = priceless. You know I live on the surface of the sun( Nevada) more 100 degree days then anywhere and I told you before I've been running g this for more than 7 years and no issues. I'm not saying it won't be cool for you but I need ice co!d here.

MY CAR BLOWS COLD AIR....After one thousand bucks. Real happy now because I am also living on the sun . As usual after you fix one thing my battery is dead. I may have left something on. I put the charger on it, and sparks were flyin. Any ideas on the charger smoking when I hooked up. I shut the whole thing down for a while.

I have an unused dryer for a R12 set up that I don't need. Cost me a little under one hundred. Don't like mailing stuff out. but it's here. I would sell it for thirty plus shipping...Freeze 12 is not picky thats why I got it. Moisture is ok, and NO vacuum. Just put it in. R134 did not work

Very cryptic. If I put it the the "FOR SALE" section , I can see myself at the Post Office in a line of ten old people waiting for a half hour. Then paying twelve bucks, and hoping for a check. I assume thats the way it works when you sell parts. you hope to get paid

Get PayPal, Venmo or a check before you ship.

Well.... advertising it here is before all of that Pete... It’s COVID Pete. Old people don’t stand in lines anywhere anymore.
( Whadya, an old Crotchedy?)
There are other newer carriers out there now besides USPS.

Hello....McFly???

Paint question...If I buy a ten gallon compressor with 135 pressure max can I spray paint. I am buying an old Jeep, and I need to paint the hood. I know Carmicheal and others do small painting jobs at home. I can't wait to get this old Jeep, and start the build. The thing has no rust so it's a perfect candidate for packing up and heading to the beach. My wife and I love to go to the beach for a few hours every Sunday. You have to when you live in Florida.

I have been having a good time tearing up the streets with my 5.0 . The newly rebuilt injectors have made my car a new animal that has never ran this good since I bought it five years ago. I just found my timing was at 18...I put it back to 14, and it even runs better. Just putting it out there after a couple hours of fun driving.
