Picked Up This 79 Mustang-need Advice

At this point I'd make up my own story, like :
Ford executive wanted a convertible that was different and had this one build to his specs but died shortly after car was delivered and his son drove it for a while then traded it for a prius.
Take it to carlisle somebody my recognize it and make the back story more confusing.

LOL. Just spit beer all over the keyboards. Yeah, was hoping to contact the laywer that my boss bought it from for additional info, but my boss bought the car thru a friend and never meet the guy. He can't find any of the paper work that came with the car, not even the current title. So I'm throwing in the towel on trying to track down the real story. I may go with yours.

You may be abe to track down previous owners thru the dmv in your state, What state are you in?
I'd be interested in the cars history if it where mine.
