Finally got replacements after 4 months, lol...the frame is still warped but at least it fits with the latch installed.

Now that I'm getting around to fitting it, I'm not sure how far to keep working the fitment. I rough fit the trunk lid and have been fitting the caps to the lid. I'm having trouble finding good reference pics online, ie where I should stop. Should the end caps follow the curve of the lid or flow around like I ended up with (they started to naturally fit that way)? Should the trunk lid be slid further forward? I have way to much flange at the bottom of the caps, the bumper doesn't fit at all. I either need to cut and reglass them or grind down the edges so the caps bottom rotate into the car while the tip of the fin rolls out?

Thoughts, references, experience, etc. are all appreciated! I'm more comfortable working with glass than sheet metal, so I can make any changes required. Pics of where I ended up attached:

The end caps at both sides neet to be trimed at the top inner corners to allow the end caps to roll towards the trunk lid

As the corners roll inward the trunklid will be able to close the gap in the back .
The lower tail of the end caps is way to thick but as you trim the inner edge you will also have to trim the tail to pull it in .

Once again HS, you come through like a champion! Thanks so much for the pictures. I can see how the pieces should rotate in and the curved should flow around to the outside edge. I have a 1/4" to go before the edge of the lid is flush with the taillight panel...is it supposed to sit flush? Pulling it forward 1/4" might be enough after cutting the caps down...

You are the first one i have seen to realize that cutting the inner edge of the caps rolls them in haha . It will also close the gap between the lid and the face of the end cap ,and it also may make it where the trunk lid will close the gap between the lid and the window divider

I will do that. Moved back to the front of the car for now, so the trunk panel fitting will be further into summer. Front end is getting AJE k-member, control arms, Strange coil overs, Cobra brakes, R&P steering, and hydra boost...and a Cobra 4.6 :jester:

I'll document the fiberglass when I get back into it. Thanks again for the help!
