PO345 Code

So my car popped a check engine light as I was turning into a neighborhood and was running rough until I stopped at a stop sign (about 2mins after the light came on) and I shifted it into 1st and the rough idling went away. The light remained but ran fine, so I drove it for about 20-25 mins and let it sit for about 2 hours. I then took it to autozone so they could plug up the tester to it and once they plugged it up, the light went away. The tester said the code PO345 showed (camshaft position sensor A circuit). However the light was now off and I drove it home (about 40-45 min drive) and the light never returned. Sorry for such a long post but I’d like to know if any solutions were available.

That code can be caused by a faulty alternator diode allowing an AC ripple current to leak into the cam position sensor circuit.
There are YouTube videos that describe how to perform an AC ripple test so if you have a digital multimeter, you can DIY.
