i am going to have to snap a pic because i seemed to have deleted it but here is a pic of what my radio will look like. i like the newer mustangs because of the way the radio and heaters are seated.i decided to do alittle work with plastic weld and some scrap pieces of porno red center console pieces.again i plan on wrapping this in leather with french seam stitching.

they have those kits that have the heater controls on the bottom it is a one piece faceplate .i just didn't like it although a much better improvement over having the radio on the bottom and trying to shift a stick shift car.

here are the pics of the center console the cup part i cut out of a 2001 mustang at a pick and pull junkyard.i got it pretty cheap hope this helps anyone that wants to finally stop using the e-brake and passenger seat space as a cupholder.lol

the first part is a power source and the second part is line in for ipod and the third empty hole is for a switch. i plan on putting an ipod inside the centerconsole or take out those buttons and place them inside set it recessed just in front of the cupholder.

here is a better pic

nice idea, you got me on the a/c controls I thought you used the newer controls and was about to ask how did you make it work till I noticed that you just used the fox controls :) :D

25thmustang - same here I painted mines with SEM satin black, came out looking really good, SEM is a really good product :nice:

i like to be creative and when i put it together i was surprised how nice it came out .my plan is to have a mixture of old and new i have a complete black interior but i may wrap the a-pillar posts in black leather to update the interior.there are other parts that i want to wrap in leather as well to get the feel of a newer car.

I had the door panels off so I could put new speakers in, which led to this.

I got rid of the map pockets, recovered the insert behind the pocket and above the armrest in black vinyl, and re-dyed the grey (the car used to belong to a smoker, you can imagine how dingy the grey looked.)

All I have left to do now is to buy black armrest pads, and maybe dye the speaker grille black.

that looks great i always loved the two-tone look ,some of the guys on this sight have done a great job with building a speaker pod and running it along the bottom and illiminating the saggy map pockets.i have black door panels but i might do something different myself.

I did the same w/my lower door panels, just took off the stock parts, made my own out of MDF and mounted my newer speakers to them. If you look closely at my pic posted earlier you'll see it's a one-piece design instead of the speaker grille as one piece and the lower trim as another. I like the "smoothness" of it. Just one of those things that goes mostly unnoticed but still adds a nice touch.

Here's one more, best I have to show unfortunately.
