So what your sayin is that the Turbo car has almost a 3/4 race cam and the Nitrous car has nearly a full race cam? Am I reading that right?

Nevermind, I had the cam data on my computer.

10:1 347 with ported Canfield 192cc heads. They flowed like 282/220.

Custom cam by Comp.
Gross lift .577/.572
duration at .050" is 230/236
lope seperation is 112
109 degree intake centerline.

Curious, what was the reason for the 112 vs 114 lsa?

I wouldn't read too much into it, I don't know that there is anything to glean from that. Like I said, the cam may or may not be perfectly ideal. I will say this though, I communicated a goal of 340 RWHP with TEA, and the car made 336, so the combo pretty much does what I wanted it to. Some better exhaust and maybe some other tweaks and it would be 350ish.

Funny how that works... It's almost like they're both 4-cycle internal combustion engines. ;)

The intake lobe on my cam is actually out of Comp's LS-engine catalog. Ford purist what?
You're just going to keep bending until one day.....BAM. :D

I still swear that once my car is running, I am going to start building another W. Probably just a 357, but I do want to get a Ford engine back in this thing.

Wondering do you have the valve timing specs on your cam?
Trying to compare some combos?

Really would like to compare all of yours also, do you have those as well??

A lot of fairly mild custom cams, to which I'll add a pair:
223/227 @ 0.050, 0.610/0.613 lift, 112.5 LSA for a
369, 8.2 deck, AFR 185 comp, 10.6 CR, Holley Systemax, Kooks headers, 89 Mustang
224/230 @ 0.050, 0.582/0.565, 112 LSA for a
462 FE, edelbrock heads, 10.5 CR, PI intake, Hooker headers, 67 Cougar

Kind of makes you wonder. Comp grinds two different custom cams. Yours has more lift but less duration than mine. Heads are about the same. Mine might be a hair bigger.

Interesting, so in your experience, what spring lift boundaries, concerning durable lift rates would you say are beyond dd. Meaning they wear out in a year or 2. Is there a threshold of I wouldn't use that lift for dd cause I'd be changing springs out a bunch etc.
