After having a nice lunch with Turbo Scott yesterday I am convinced that one large single turbo is the way to go. Phil, get on the phone monday morning and order up that PT-88, Accel gen 7 DFI, wide band kit, lap top, some 160 lb hr injectors, sheet metal intercooler, some mandrel bends, piping, the cooks custom turbo headers, Fuel cell, custom fuel system, boost controler, bypass valve, waste gate, t bolt clamps, flange gaskets, and a custom torque converter. Chung Takes Visa, Master card, American express and Discover. :nice:
:nice: now can I borrow someones credit card hopefully one with no preset spending limit and a zero balance or any sponsers for a poor white boy :D
I decided to stick with the original plan and go turbo :nice: that was the original thinking it is just that I get side tracked every now and then :bang: I have to much time on my hands to think :p

Why would you want to tune with sticks and stones (FAST system).

Chung..........put down the pipe :rlaugh:

Which system is on the car that currently has the 1076 rwhp record at Torque Freaks????? :D

We set the first record at 946 rwhp in just 5 pulls on a new combo.......not too bad for a box-o-sticks & stones :D

Maybe your the one that needs better sticks and stones!!! :rlaugh:

I'm still trying to figure out how Lar's Camaro fit into the fastest Mustang list

If it wasn't for his car you wouldn't have an Gen 7 car on the list.....or anywhere in sight for that matter :rlaugh:

If the list was not just for Mustangs then it would look like this:

Brian's Turbo Nova 8.20
.
.
.
.
.
.
Darwin's Camaro 9.4
Wally's Mustang 9.6
Eric's Mustang 9.80
Lar's Camaro 9.82
Scott's Mustang 9.88

Hmmm..............4 out of 6 cars from the terrysperformance.com camp..........do you see a pattern???? :D

Ok.........you can pick the pipe back up now :D

Man, can't we all just get along?? The world is made up of many diffrent power adders, and that is what makes this world so great to live in!!
You know i have been sitting here reading this thread for a few min, and i have laughed my ass off a few times. I think this is why God created Stangnet. For everyone to have something to do when its too cold outside to go and work on hot rods. Keep up the funny stuff.

You must not have been listening. Why would you want to run a Accel Gen 7?

Because I like Good DRIVEABILITY. Personal prefrence.

You can tune anything for good wide open throttle performance. Even a carburator. Good driveability, idle quality and for some cars the ability to pass emmisions are just as important as wide open throttle performance. The last Accel car I tuned drove to the track, ran 11s on street tires and pump gas and drove home with stock idle and driveability. And the guy does not even own a lap top and had never raced before.

Example- Alan Dudley ( south east coast 10.5 racer ) and Wayne Young ( of youngs performance ) were in our Accel class. Both tune many 1500 hp + cars. They thought the 2 systems were equal for race applications but the driveability of the accel system was better in their oppinion. I have not tuned a car with the fast but I have had the opportunity to go through the software and I prefer the accel system layout and ease of tuneability. Just my 2 cents. Obviously the Fast system works as there are many race cars out there running it. To each their own.

....after a day of Jeff tuning on my Escort with the Gen7, the cars drivability is perfect, feels like its stock. In fact, at some point my o2 sensor took a dump, in which case Accel defaults to open loop, and I didnt even notice the change in drivability. Just noticed I had a stored code.

How Fast is for daily drivers? Never heard of anyone using them for that. Obviously they perform very well on race cars. The proof is in the puddin'

Any of these type of systems can deliver good driveability including a custom burnt chip............it's a matter of how much time you put into it :p

Remember..........I wasn't the one who spoke from his butt.........I believe it was something like "tuning with sticks and stones" :D

Keep spending your time getting that DRIVEABILITY good and we'll keep kickin' your butts at the track.......Personal prefrence :rlaugh:

Ouch! Sometimes it's better to walk away than keep after this matter. I saw how you tore joe up last year :bang: so I will quit while I am ahead. :nice:

I really didn't fire the first shot but I will keep bringing a bigger gun to the battle until the hole is so big you can drive a truck thru it :rlaugh:

I try not to trash talk the Gen 7 stuff as I think most of these types of aftermarket systems will deliver very similar results.......it's really a matter of preference like religion and politics :D

I really like you guys at All Ford Performance,Blue Oval Performance and Krazy Koncepts............I think that you all do a wonderful job for your customers :hail2: :hail2: :hail2: :nice:

That's right..........I just endorsed you...........and I approve this messege :D

Hey E' wouldnt a big single be cheaper than twins? Aren't the head units the most expensive part, or is the extra cost of the big one, enough to ofset the cost? Not flaming, just asking....:

usually yes, a single would be cheaper than twins, but I bought my kit used and got a very very good deal on it.

It's different power curve too isn't it? I mean the turbo can make more meaty mid-range, but still plenty of top, while the blower usually makes peak power up at max boost... doesn't it?

DD
:flag:

Yes, the recent article in MM&FF (I think) that compared 3 different blowers and a Turbo kit illistrated this quite well. You could see the very different boost responce curves of each system as well as the way that compressor efficiancy effected power output very clearly.

LMAO!!! Ya,... my car ran 12's,... but I had maybe $3500 in the car including the price of the car. You got more than that in your blower system!! And I built 99% of what I am running.

Tell me this,... did you ever get that KB blown, 5.4 white truck into the 300 hp range. Kind of funny seeing your dyno tune on it with three different peek rpm shift points!! :D

Eric how am I suppose to concentrate when you have a bouncing boobies avatars. Thought it was Naters this whole time.

Actually its a 4.6 white truck, and by the way the tuning was not for peak HP, it was for closed/open loop feedback issues.

But since you tune so well, i'm sure you have never hurt any parts.?

Besides you know what they say, if you aren't breaking parts your not nearly trying hard enough.

Remember this is all in fun, don't take anything personal. Except you Gasketblaster. LOL

I've heard it put like this:

"If you're not breaking parts then your not making any horsepower" :D

I guess that really doesn't apply to you because your breaking parts but your also not making any horsepower   :rlaugh:

I guess you misunderstood that concept in DFI tuner's class :D
