I need to replace the steering pump pressure hose on my 2004 3.9 v6.
Can someone with experience please tell me the trick to getting a wrench on the nuts at the rack end of the hose?

Feel like I just answered this for vigar75 :p yeah drop the rack. 2 bolts and the steering shaft bolt. And then you can move the rack like a foot off and down from its mounting point and it'll be easy from there

Thanks. I feel more confident having someone confirm it. I just went out and removed the three bolts and it wasn't wanting to move much. I thought someone has probably asked this a hundred times, but the "Search" thing gave me every answer except what I needed.

Oh if you're gonna remove the rack I suggest poly bushings to replace the stock ones. Wandering racks suck and most mustangs from taking off the oil filter, oil falls on the rack and pinion and slowly destroy the old rubber bushings, and I'm sure by now they need to get replaced. I hate doing things twice!
